Discounted tickets at Crich Tramway Village
Crich Tramway Village offers a brilliant day out for all ages – and now visitors to Wheeldon Trees can benefit from discounted tickets.
The popular heritage tramway museum is based in the village of Crich, around a 30-minute drive from Wheeldon Trees Cottages.
Vintage trams
Crich offers much more than just the opportunity to experience a ride on a vintage tram – although this is the main reason for visiting. The museum has a number of different trams in operation, each with its own unique history and design. Visitors can ride on open or enclosed trams, and experience what it was like to travel on a tram through the streets of a bygone era.
Street scenes
The museum was established in 1959 and is set on a recreated period street, complete with shops, houses, and other buildings from the Victorian era. Visitors can wander through the street and explore the various buildings, each of which offers a glimpse into life in the past. The museum also features a large collection of historic trams, some of which date back to the early 1900s.
Interactive exhibits
In addition to the trams and period street, the museum also has a variety of other exhibits and displays that showcase the history of tramways in the UK. This includes interactive exhibits, displays of historic tramway artefacts and memorabilia, and information about the development of tramway technology.
