Critchlow Cottage is a cosy, dog-friendly cottage that sleeps up to three guests. Downstairs, you’ll find a spacious open-plan living area with underfloor heating, along with a private enclosed south-facing patio — perfect for relaxing with friends and family. The dining table seats three, and there’s a Smart TV and Alexa to enjoy when you’re not out exploring the local hills. Each of our cottages is thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need during your stay, from everyday essentials like washing-up liquid to olive oil for cooking your favourite meals.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms — one double and one single – along with a well-appointed bathroom featuring a walk in shower. All our cottages are stocked with our luxury range of toiletries, specially made for Wheeldon Trees by Peak Soaps in Bakewell.
If you love walking, you can bag a trig by climbing to the top of High Wheeldon directly from your cottage’s front door. If you need a midnight snack, our honesty shop has luxury chocolate treats, local artisan ice cream, organic pasta sauces and a whole host of other award-winning treats. Guests can make use of Voltshare EV charging for electric cars, a newly updated games room with a pool table and 75-inch TV and a range of electric bikes available to borrow for exploring the local area.
If you’re working during your stay, you’re also very welcome to use our peaceful office under the trees — a quiet space with beautiful views, superfast WiFi and a printer to make working away from home that little bit easier.
