Wreathmaking At Wheeldon Trees Cottages

Wreath-making wonderland at Wheeldon Trees

Wheeldon Trees Cottages was transformed into a wreath-making winter wonderland this weekend as we welcomed work-shoppers from across the region.

2023 marked the second year for our hugely popular wreath-making workshops led by expert gardener Carol Harris.

Visitors turned freshly foraged foliage into works of art for front doors across the region.

Wheeldon Trees held two sessions on Saturday with visitors travelling from Staffordshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire to make their creations.

Garden designer Carol Harris has worked throughout Derbyshire transforming gardens and bringing her own creations to life. At Wheeldon Trees, Carol inspired our guests to create their own beautiful front door decorations.

“I can’t think of a better location to get people into the Christmas spirit,” said Carol. “Set amidst 12 acres of Peak District National Park, it was lovely to welcome people to our workshop and help them create a stunning masterpiece for their home. What’s more, we tried to use local, natural foliage and blooms so our guests now have a little piece of Derbyshire this Christmas.”

If you’re local and would like to use our Long Room for a crafting workshop, send us and email – hazel@wheeldontreescottages.com.
