Children's Play Village Ashbourne

Peak District Soft Play

If you’re visiting the Peak District with young children and the weather’s against you, our round-up of indoor soft play centres could be just the thing.

The Play Village, Ashbourne

First up, this one is not strictly soft play. The Play Village Ashbourne is a unique indoor play centre that is unlike any other in the area. It is designed around the concept of role-play, with eight different play pods that are set up to look like real-life environments, such as a building site, a café, a fire station, a hairdressing salon, a hospital, an office, a supermarket, and a veterinary surgery.

Children can wander freely between the play pods, pretending to be anything they want. They can help to build a house, make a cup of tea, put out a fire, get a haircut, go to the hospital, work in an office, go shopping, or take their pet to the vet. The possibilities are endless!

Here are some additional details about The Play Village Ashbourne:

  • Opening hours: 9:30 am-5 pm Monday-Friday, 9:30 am-6 pm Saturday, 11 am-6 pm Sunday
