Wheeldon Trees completes dog-friendly cottage refurbishment. Ollerenshaw Cottage is now available to book at the Wheeldon Trees Cottages luxury retreat.

The one-bedroom dog-friendly cottage has had a full refurbishment from top to bottom. A new locally sourced and installed kitchen features integrated appliances, a granite work surface and a waste disposal system. As with all Wheeldon cottages, Denby, Joseph Joseph and Dualit are all included in the kitchen.

A new oak floor has been laid downstairs, accompanied by soft furnishings and redecoration.

Super luxurious

Upstairs, the bedroom offers a super luxurious bed and a brand-new bathroom has been installed. The fully-tiled vintage-themed bathroom has a bath with an over shower.

Constant improvement

2022 has been a very busy year at Wheeldon Trees as the team strives to continually improve facilities for guests. The Farmhouse and Priestley Cottage were both refurbished earlier in the year. What’s more, a new games room – the Long Room – has been transformed offering a dining space for eight and a games table. In addition, new wifi has been installed and a brand-new office has been introduced for guests to use.

In December 2022 it was announced that Wheeldon Trees is a finalist in the Visit Peak District and Derbyshire Tourism Awards. The retreat will compete with two other properties for the title of best self-catering accommodation at the final in March 2023.

Not just a holiday cottage

Wheeldon Trees offers so much more than just a holiday cottage. In addition to stunning holiday cottages, there is an honesty shop, free EV charging, wifi throughout, a children’s play area, a newly refurbished games room, free electric bikes to explore the local area (updated in November 2022) and a laundry room.

Every guest receives a Wheeldon Trees tote bag containing milk, eggs, butter, High Wheeldon Rising filter coffee, tea bags, fruit cake and chocolate lollipops. What’s more, all cottages feature toiletries from The White Company and you can order delicious food and drink deliveries straight to your cottage from a partnership with Sauced Here. In-cottage wellness treatments can be booked during your stay with partners The Feelgood Pamper Company.
