The festive season might feel a world away, but at Chatsworth, a most magical Christmas is already being prepared for 2025.

Christmas at Chatsworth is the most anticipated event of the year in the Peaks and this year’s event will run from 8 November 2025 to 4 January 2026.

Tickets are not on sale until later in September, but here’s everything you need to know to plan your perfect festive visit.

A Glimpse into the Magic

Chatsworth is renowned for its enchanting Christmas offerings, and 2025 will be no exception.

A Magnificently Decorated House

Step inside the grand Chatsworth House, transformed into a festive wonderland. Each year brings a unique theme, and we’re eagerly awaiting the announcement in mid-September.

A Dazzling Garden Light Trail

As dusk falls, the historic gardens will come alive with an illuminated trail, guiding you through a breathtaking display of light and festive wonder.

Seasonal Delights at the Farmyard

The farmyard will offer crafts and activities, perfect for families and little ones to enjoy some hands-on festive fun.

The Christmas Market

A true highlight for many, the Christmas market will be back. The Christmas market runs from 8 November to 14 December inclusive. If you plan to visit later in the season (15 December – 4 January), please remember the market will have closed.

Before Tickets Go On Sale

To make your booking process smooth and stress-free, here are the key details you need to be aware of:

Advance booking is crucial. All tickets, without exception, must be booked in advance online. This includes Friends of Chatsworth and pass holders. Don’t plan to turn up on the day without a pre-booked ticket.

A Christmas at Chatsworth ticket grants you full access to the magnificently decorated House, the stunning Garden, including the captivating light trail and the fun-filled Farmyard and Adventure Playground.

One free car parking space is included per transaction. If you need additional spaces, ensure you add them to your booking before checking out. For larger groups travelling in separate cars, consider making separate bookings (ensuring you choose the same house entry time) to take advantage of the free parking for each vehicle. Blue badge holders will also need to select a blue badge parking space when booking.

While a full calendar of daily prices will be available at the start of the booking process, here’s an idea of starting prices:

Adults (17+ years): From £36.00 (or £32.73 without donation)

Children (3-16 years): From £10.00 (or £9.09 without donation) Children aged 2 and under do not require a ticket.

Special Ticket Information

Visitors with disabilities can bring an accompanying carer free of charge with a full-price ticket (supporting documents required). Friends of Chatsworth are welcome to book tickets throughout the Christmas period. Exclusive Friends-only dates and times in December will also be available. If you’re not yet a Friend, now might be the perfect time to explore the benefits of membership. Information on Universal Credit tickets will also be available soon.
